We Believe In The Bible

The sole basis of our beliefs is the Bible. We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are God-inspired and without error (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21). The Bible is our final authority for faith and practice.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

II Timothy 3:16-17

  • We believe in the Trinity: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28, 19; Genesis 1:26)

  • We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God; the only way to God and eternal life. (John 14:6, 10)

  • We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin. (Matthew 1:18)

  • We believe that Jesus lived a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for the sins of men by dying on the cross. (Luke 24:25-27, 46-47)

  • We believe that Jesus physically rose from the dead. (Luke 24)

  • We believe that after his death, Jesus ascended into heaven. (Luke 24:50-53)
  • We believe that marriage is an institution created by God and meant to join a man and a woman. (Genesis 2:23-25)

  • We believe in the sanctity of life and that it begins at conception and that the taking of an innocent life is forbidden by God’s Word. (Psalm 139:13-16; Exodus 20:13)

  • We believe that baptism requires full immersion and that baptism is an essential step of salvation – along with belief, repentance, and confession. (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16)

  • We believe that God calls us to join in communion with him each Lord’s Day. We welcome all baptized believers to join us in this communion. (Acts 20:7)
  • We believe that God calls His people to assemble together regularly for worship and mutual encouragement. (Hebrews 10:25)

  • We believe that salvation is a gift freely given from God to all who choose to accept it and that even a baptized believer can choose to reject that gift. (Hebrews 6:4-6)

  • We believe that upon a baptized believer’s death he/she immediately goes to be with the Lord. (John 14:1-3; Luke 23:39-43)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ will come a second time and that only God knows when. (John 14:3; Matthew 24:36-51)

  • We believe that God calls us to disciple people of every nation. (Matthew 28:19-20)
